Free Summer Lunch Program

Several Klamath agencies sponsor USDA  summer lunch program locations. All youth ages one through 18 are welcome to participate in this program.  The summer lunch program ensures that school-age kids get at least one healthy meal each day. The following website lists all of the locations in Oregon: http://www.summerfoodoregon.org/city It has a Google map and details about time and place.

All summer meal sites are located in neighborhoods that USDA considers high need areas. However, no application or proof of income is needed to participate, and all children are welcome

The Summer Food Service Program for Children was created by Congress in 1968. It is designed to provide funds for eligible organizations to serve nutritious meals to low-income children when school is not in session.
